Mask Reader published by same outfit behind Saturn Novels, Regal Novels, and Torch Reader. Great uncredited cover art throughout the series, early issues feature photo covers, black frame, later issues lose the thick black frames and showcase compelling painted art, even keyhole covers, in a few different wrapper colors per year. Series saw several design changes, and after a brief "blue period" mirroring its popular competitor Liverpool Library Press, resorted to their former lively presentation. Ran 1971-73, close to 70 titles, none with any internal advertising for other publisher titles. Highlights: Bang My Box, The Haunted Gay, Expensive Wife, Thrill Lady, The Dart Game, The Reckless Campers, and The Reporters Wife. Very Good Plus, most with light rubbing, slight lean, 4 with spine creases, a few Very Good. For consenting, mature audiences, a foundational collection.
