About 40 years ago I discovered a long-closed print shop called Kelley Printing, and I bought a truckload of vintage prints of all types. They were typical "over-runs" and set aside, but never used. As part of the purchase, I bought a wooden box filled with these 1950s fruit crate labels [no zip codes in the addresses], and I've slowly sold them at antique shows and on "feebay". These are all that remain, there are no more. There are a total of 23 examples, are are near mint condition, and until recently they have never been exposed to sunlight since the time they were printed. These are guaranteed to be printed in the 1950s, and were printed using the old style "letterpress" printing machines, one-at-a-time. They have the artists name as "Crocker" at the lower left corner, however I've never been able to establish who the artist was.
Note; an unscrupulous seller on Wayfair has taken a poorly generated copy [laser jet?] without all the fruit company label info, and is offering these low quality prints at a whopping $153.99 EACH [discounted from $164.99] !!!!!! I'm not going to print the Wayfair address here, but if you contact me, I will gladly provide the information!
You can buy 23 beautiful ORIGINAL prints for a tiny fraction of what the Wayfair seller wants! My price of $150.00 is for all 23 prints, that is just barely over $6.50 each! At that price I cannot accept lower offers.
