Description

A limited edition 4 x 5 1/2 inch volume, X-Lib tells the story of a lascivious princess who has escaped her father's supervision, and a desperate detective's attempt to find her.  Princess Poppy has turned herself into a book in the palace library, so her numerous lovers can check her out whenever they like.  The king has called upon a passing minstrel to figure out which of the many books is his sexually omnivorous daughter.  The minstrel does this using bookseller's terminology.  When the minstrel explains that the chosen book is bound in leather, this raises an eyebrow, but when it is pointed out that the book is "somewhat rubbed", the king's expression suggests the minstrel should change the subject.  Eventually applying a wand low on the spine of the book, the princess is revealed.  More suggestive than raunchy, each copy is signed by the author and the illustrator (who also designed, printed, and bound the book); each copy includes as well an extra linocut of the picture of the (fully-clothed) minstrel.  One of only 101 copies printed in 2002, still in original protective envelope

Questions & Answers
Q: Hello, I'm having a hard time finding the book online, who is the author. I really like the stuff you're selling and will be buying up some of it, especially the vintage postcards. Thanks, Mike posted by: AKCTNYIND02 3/4/2024 6:39 AM CT
A: This was written by Dan Crawford, and illustrated as well as designed, printed, and bound by Muriel Underwood of Miscellaneous Graphics. Thanks for asking, and thanks for the compliment!
