Description

I would give something to know what's on the young lady's mind; her expression creates all kinds of possibilities.  As this was mailed in 1944, when meat rationing was in full swing, she may well be considering two different ways to get a steak dinner out of this encounter.  The sender, asking the recipient to write, has added a poem worthy of some note

Down on the farm
