See, this is a major theme in British postcard humor (humour, to you). People say something completely innocent but someone walking past (here the vicar and his wife) overhear it and misinterpret the situation entirely. Quip has done this joke for Sapphire postcards, probably in the 1960s or thereabouts. Never mailed or messaged, excellent condition
