Postcard artist Ray Walters had a knack for voluptuous women, and this eager young lady is glorious. A checklist correspondence card filled in by a private at Camp Crowder in 1944, where it has recently snowed. Camp Crowder Missouri was also home to veterans like Jean Shepherd (who reminisced about it, when he wasn't reminiscing the tales that became A Christmas Story), Mort Walker (who based Camp Swampy in Beetle Bailey on it) and Carl Reiner, who added a flashback sequence to Dick Van Dyke showing Rob and Laura's first meeting, at Camp Crowder. So here's a pinup with some background.
Pursuing the topic, it appears that Private Bradshaw's company set off for Europe 2 weeks after this postcard was mailed, and landed at Normandy on June 8, 1944
