[Schmitz, Linda]
Linda Schmitz answers the call (Original photograph, 1970s)
California: N.p., 1970s. Original photograph of Linda Schmitz in blonde wig, light-colored dress, holding a telephone, smirking. Linda was a mainstay in nude modeling, generally posed without wig to show long straight chestnut hair, and also known as Linda Schmidt, Megan Schmidt (Schmitz), Laura Lynnwood. Here she is seen non-nude, fully clothed, more elegance than explicitness, and Victorian prop furniture and picture frames joining the scene, including a neat hourglass end table, suggest the work of Ron Vogel or Keith Bernard, or a Parliament News staff photographer. 8 x 10 inches, b/w cropping notations inside small white border on recto, small whiteout on the recto, name in ditto and numerical notations on the verso. Border notations state the image was published as page 10A in "Linda," an unseen one-shot monograph devoted to the model. Very Good Plus, with a small edge tear with cello-tape repair on the verso, and corner bump. [Book ID 126725]
